How often do you see SoSHers post arguments that you've already seen several times and are either 1) urban legend or 2) something you disagree with but don't feel like explaining the same counterargument for the umpteenth time?
This blog is so people can simply link to an entry of this blog to refer to the counterarguments.

Straw man argument
Here is how the term "straw man argument" is described in wikipedia. According to Myt1, the term is used incorrectly 9 out of 10 times on SoSH. You can be the judge of whether that's a straw man argument itself.
I never thought I'd want to start a blog, but after years of seeing people make the same incorrect arguments in SoSH, I figure writing this blog as a SoSH reference site would be the most efficient way I could think of for people to counter these arguments.
